As a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of both purchased and internally produced products. Your primary focus is to continually improve the quality of supplied components, ensuring they meet the required standards.

Organisatie

Our client is involved in the development and assembly of industrial systems or the semiconductor industry, the healthcare market, and a wide range of analytical applications. The high-quality precision mechanical parts, machine assemblies, and vacuum systems are assembled in both clean room and non-clean room environments. As a service provider, our client also produces high-quality precision components and modules for leading clients in the high-tech industry.

Functie

As a Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of both purchased and internally produced products. Your primary focus is to continually improve the quality of supplied components, ensuring they meet the required standards. Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Monitor and ensure the quality of components on the shop floor.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to both internal and external suppliers.
  • Document root causes, containment actions, and corrective/preventive measures in 5D or 8D reports.
  • Collaborate with the Production/Warehouse Team Leader and Quality Inspector to block and inspect work in progress or inventory when needed.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to maintain the quality of new products from suppliers.
  • Independently lead and coordinate quality improvement projects with suppliers.
  • Actively contribute to procurement quality discussions and meetings.

Functie-eisen

You are detail-oriented, structured, and take responsibility for improving quality processes. You have a mindset of continuous improvement, working closely with suppliers and colleagues to enhance the quality of components. Your hands-on experience in machining, sheet metal work, and post-treatments enables you to effectively troubleshoot and support problem-solving efforts.

In addition, you have:

  • A technical education at MTS/HBO level, preferably in mechanical or mechatronics or electrical engineering.
  • At least 5 years of similar experience with machining techniques in a high-tech environment.
  • Proficiency in creating and evaluating 8D reports.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Customer-focused with an open and proactive attitude.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
